The Westin Melbourne implemented CarbonView in a two staged process to satisfy the following objectives:
- Stage One - Calculate company footprint for NGER
- Stage Two - Develop process footprints & deliver Life Cycle Assessment Carbon Neutral Services
By employing best practice carbon management provided by CarbonView, The Westin Melbourne can now boast a decrease in Carbon emissions since its initial footprint measurement in 2006/2007.
Stage Two of the CarbonView implementation has enabled The Westin to monitor their carbon emissions and water consumption on a pro-active basis. It allows them to regularly re-measure and evaluate the impact of their carbon reduction initiatives, which has enabled them to realize significant operational cost savings.
