The CarbonView implementation approach outlined below, incorporates the ISO standard 14064 (The Standard on Greenhouse Gas Accounting and Verification. Part 1-3) and encompasses the international greenhouse gas emission workbooks and standards for carbon footprinting, life cycle assessments (LCA) and sustainable supply chain optimisation modelling.

Collect
CarbonView services provide clients with a platform for emission data collection; with the option to enter data manually, via file or automatic upload or by integrating into financial or other systems.
Data calculations utilizing the international standards take place within CarbonView. These accurate and auditable calculations significantly reduce the chance of human calculation error and avoids the complexities associated with managing all of this information in disparate spreadsheets.
A CarbonView consultant will assist you by identifying your operational boundaries and capturing the relevant emissions data. CarbonView’s principle purpose is to streamline the GHG emission reporting process, saving you valuable time and resources.
Verify
CarbonView consultants will assist clients to correctly configure the CarbonView software for their particular requirements, including validating initial data collected and building a foundation for ongoing data collection. The company hierarchy can be established within the CarbonView software along with facilities and assets. Facilities and asset registers can be altered, added and removed on a real-time basis as required to allow for growth or changes in business requirements.
A CarbonView consultant will work with you to establish the different user roles and or work groups that will be required to interact with carbon emission data, reports or the CarbonView software.
Report
A CarbonView consultant works with you to identify the requirements for external and internal compliance reporting. This includes establishing data validation reports which identify any anomalies in the emission data entry process for compliance and auditing purposes as well as setting up and providing training on standard and ad hoc reports.
CarbonView can be used for audit reporting, government compliance or voluntary reporting to organizations Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) as well as other environmental impact compliance reports, such as water sustainability and waste management.
Reduce
Based on the data collected and the reporting capabilities, a CarbonView consultant will use the software to identify inefficient operations or ‘hotspots;’ to reduce operation costs and improve the environmental impact of your organization.
Within the CarbonView users can analyse ‘hotspots’ and identify mitigation options, such as energy efficiency and waste reduction projects, and initiate return on investment business case reports on reduction opportunities.
